What is a lip plumper? A lip plumper is a product that temporarily plumps the lips by increasing blood circulation and can give the lips a fuller, plumper appearance. Some products may use ingredients such as peptides, hyaluronic acid or menthol. Skincare products such as lip glosses, lip balms or serums may also serve as lip plumpers. How does a lip plumper work? A lip plumper stimulates blood circulation in the lips with the help of certain technologies and/or ingredients and also provides the lips with an extra portion of moisture. This makes the lips appear more voluminous and intensifies the natural lip color. How long do lip plumpers last? The effect of a lip plumper usually lasts 1-3 hours, depending on the technologies and ingredients and the individual skin reaction. The lips may appear more voluminous for a while after application, but the effect is not permanent and can wear off over time.
